CAT 2012-Information

IHE-Europe CAT 2012, May 21-26, BERNEXPO, Berne, Switzerland

The 12th European IHE Connectathon will again provide a testing opportunity for the comprehensive set of IHE Profiles. The decision of IHE Europe for the venue in Berne, Switzerland was very much appreciated and gives all stakeholders in our country an excellent chance to move eHealth activities forward in Switzerland. Thus it is a must for vendors to participate at this next Connect-a-thon. It was never ever so close to our markets and our workplace. Travel expenses can be kept at a minimum while the benefit will achieve a maximum just by boosting this «Momentum».

Wanted: For the CAT2012 we’re still looking for additional monitors from Switzerland. To be approved by IHE Europe, a monitor must prove that he is not working for a manufacturer that tests it’s products at the Connectathon. This is the main criterion for a monitor, because the neutrality of the monitors would otherwise not be guaranteed. Additionally the activity as a monitor is voluntary work. IHE Europe will at best come up for travel and hotel expenses, but not for working hours. A monitor must own knowledge to at least one IHE profile. However, for a first participation a monitor doesn’t have to be an expert in approving tests. New monitors will be coupled with experienced monitors on Monday morning. They then will be introduced in the art of approving IHE CAT tests.
